The building is built in authentic Tudor style, with wooden beams still visible in the façade. The interior is a pleasing combination of Breton style and that of an English cottage. Sherlock Holmes would feel right at home here. Pannenhuis was the very first house in Bruges to have a tiled roof. In the olden days, it was a real attraction in the region. In the twentieth century, mainly coachmen resided here. Later, it was home to notaries.
Hostellerie Pannenhuis has many things to offer its guests including private parking and a large garden.
As a travel journalist once wrote about the Pannenhuis:
Americans and Russians fly over for it, Japanese can't stop talking about it and Scandinavians claim the south begins here.
